Leadership Team
John Watson
CEO & Founder
John Watson has strong financial services experience, having been UK Group Finance Director of IFG Group plc from 2000 to 2015, during which time he helped lead the acquisition and integration of James Hay from Santander, as well as a number of other acquisitions, disposals and restructures.
John sat as Finance Director and as regulatory Controlled Function for all the Group’s UK regulated businesses, including James Hay and the prestigious City-based IFA, Saunderson House, before becoming Chief Operating Officer for the regulated Division of Equiniti plc.
John is a Non-Executive Director of Sandringham Financial Partners Limited, a financial advisory subsidiary of M&G Group plc, and is a board member of Verve Group Limited, the property redevelopment and estate management group. He sat as a Non-Executive Director of Delta Financial Systems Limited until CFO & More successfully led its sale to Bravura Solutions, the Aus 250 fintech provider. John was also previously the European Group Accountant for one of Marriott International’s two European divisions.
Our History
John founded CFO & MORE in 2016 after realising the potential of a boutique service which would provide elite guidance, on a part time basis, to firms for whom such expertise would be impractical or too costly as a full time resource.
Since its inception, the company has generated rapid and strong annual growth, both for CFO & MORE and its clients. In recent years it has grown from a start-up to an established consultancy with a network of professionals, and a reputation for excellence, integrity and value.

When I discovered CFO & More, after completing my A-levels, it was clear that they were offering a great opportunity for anyone looking to start a career in accountancy. It was a chance to get in at the roots of a firm and develop as a professional alongside the company.
